The Corduroy shelves are a shelving and storage system based on a series of modular euro-core plywood boxes with whitewashed maple veneers. Each module has an exterior surface of machined grooves. The grooves give the unit a distinct texture while also allowing each module to easily connect to its neighbor by use of coupling splines that can be mounted in the grooves between adjoining boxes. Individual boxes can be outfitted with door fronts and internal drawers. The individual units can be arranged in an infinite number of ways. The original corduroy series was designed by Ryan Jordan of Form and Forest and produced for a private residence in Vancouver.
